Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Evaluate and treat clinic patients
- Administer joint injections, suture, cast, close wounds and round on inpatients
- Act as first assist in coordination with Physician
- Take medical histories, examine and treat patients
- Order tests and evaluate X-rays, CT scans and MRIs
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications
- Record progress notes
- Instruct and counsel patients
- Coordinate with physical therapists, OR staff and OR equipment reps
- Must take initiative within the practice
- Have ability and interest in treating pediatrics, adults and geriatrics
- Must be willing to assist with call responsibilities
Must show completion of AMA-Approved Physician Assistant program and must be licensed by the State of Georgia Medical Board
Three years of Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.
Must show a desire to serve a diverse patient base with equal care.
